The fire resist finish is to BS 5867 standard:Part 2:Type B. Single sided gather-heading tape in white polyester, can be used to make many decorative headings for curtains and valances such as frilled and puffed headings.Pleats up to 2.5 x fullness but typically curtains need to be made with at least twice fullness to give a pleasing depth of pleat.Single sided tapes have the pockets on just one side of the tape so a little care must be taken to ensure that the tape is sewn on with the pockets away from the fabric. Utilising inherently fire retardant yarns and polyester monofilament weft, the tape is easy to apply and pleat and gives an outstanding appearance to curtains whatever level of fullness is required. Made to exacting specifications and produced using the latest narrow fabric technology this tape is and finished, inspected and packed by hand for consistency and quality. Three rows of high density woven pockets that present well when pleated and still hold the hooks firmly and permanently with minimum sag Three high quality draw cords designed to facilitate easy pleating. Designed to provide up to 2.5 x fullness with a light regular pencil pleat. High quality weft yarns to give a stiff enough heading to stand upright whichever row of pockets are used and yet flexible enough to permit easy pleating. Heat finished to ensure the product will not shrink when washed. This tape has been tested to BS5867 Part 2 Type B and meets the requirements of the standard.
